Is this the end?

3 months ago we joined Amal as cocoons and we are here now, ready to take our flight. This is one of the last reflections of this fellowship as from today onwards I am going to be known as an Alumni and not a fellow. It feels sad, and yet I am happy to have lived the best 3 months of my life with the best family I ever had.

The story today is our last session, the 24th session of batch-224, we were just sitting there, looking at each other, having fun, talking, sharing stories and events, remembering things, making memories, no one wanted to leave, not even for a second. It is really great to have a session off from work together where we just stay and connect to each other as human beings and not as employers and employees (Of course keeping the respect altogether, as without respect no relationship lasts). It was one of a kind of session which we had together. None like when we used to discuss coursework and learning activities. All sessions were fun, but this session is so close to our hearts. We were there looking at each other for one last time in a formal session, it was a different feeling to say goodbye to a really beautiful family which we just found but hey? Is this really the end? Noooo!

Because “Family is Forever”

A family can be far apart from each other, but hearts always beat together and remember all we have is each other, most of us have already connected with each other on messaging apps: WhatsApp, Social Media: Facebook, and professional platform: LinkedIn. We are friends, mates, fellows, and family. We support each other emotionally with messages, we make each other feel beautiful by liking pictures and we uplift by celebrating. Yes, we are just like a normal family living together, or maybe even more!

The picture of a tree from the last session, Scavenger Hunt will always remind us that we have fun and work together at Amal and how essential the balance of work and fun is

Taking Flight:

Amal has really taught us to become lifelong learners. It is way too important, it does not matter what profession you have. We even learn from livestock we have in our home, we just need to be always open to opportunities and learning. And this is all for today, I am taking flight with the 4 principles of Amal i.e. Khudi, Kam Kam Kam, and Ek aur Ek Giyara!
